Pub in Benllech village.

by Colin

Hello

Is there a good pub in Benllech village?

Thanks

Colin

Hi Colin

Thanks for writing in and for visiting Anglesey Hidden Gem.

It's a stormy evening here on Anglesey and despite that I decided to pop across to Benllech to check out that my Benllech notes are correct.

And they are, quite naturally. Just like I write in response to another question about Benllech - https://www.anglesey-hidden-gem.com/dog-friendly.html - Benllech is a well established holiday village and directed at family pubs and good food.

Obviously, good beer is part of that. Though, taste in beer is as subjective football teams.

Three good pubs/hotels in Benllech are:

  • The Benllech, which is in the village square diagonally across from the garage. Robinsons house.

  • Plas Glanrafon, about 300 yards away on the Pentraeth Road. JW Lees house

  • The Breeze Hill, which is about 150 yards further on from the Glanrafon. Robinsons house.

I think they tend to be quiet in the down season, though I get the impression that the Breeze Hill is a favourite with locals.

I hope that this is helpful to you.

Do let me know. If you have different thoughts about any of them when you visit do get in touch.

    Best wishes

    Wil

    Try The Cove., Benllech Beach
    by: Chris

I have been spending summers in Benllech for over 15 years and seen changes in ownership in most of the pubs.

Presently if you want a 'pub' that serves a really good pint at a sensible price I would suggest 'The Cove'.

It's a great place for a few drinks but also has a basic food menu which is a bonus.

The atmosphere is really friendly and its clean and tidy. However I think it's only open in the summer months.

    Chris
