A ram's tale

by Joan
(Formby)

My friend Val and I just love to go a walking,

Over the hills and far away doing lots of talking.
Last week we were at Lligwy Bay, and, as it was a lovely day, we decided to go to Tyddyn Mon, ( a place we often land upon).

The cafe was closed so we walked on, through the gate at Tyddyn Mon, and into fields where Rams were present. Everything seemed very pleasant.

But, all of a sudden everything changed, these huge Rams looked quite deranged,

They crossed the field at quite a pace and stood before us face to face. We did our best to shoo them away, but they decided they would stay,
Stanley, our dachshund was no help, because all he did was bark and yelp!

As time went on we got more scared, and, 'though it probably seems absurd, we felt afraid to walk away, and so decided we must stay
But worse was to come- one ram butted Val,
She was thrown to the ground, how I feared for my pal.

I was by then just filled with fear and thought I might be next. I picked up Stanley just in case he'd made that ram so vexed, but, just as I had picked him up, the ram decided again to butt,
He butted me as he'd done to Val, and now I was on the ground with my pal.

We wondered if we would survive. We screamed and screamed 'til help arrived. But glad it did, because thereafter, this tale has caused a lot of laughter!

This is a true story. It happened in March 2014.
