Trust The Old Man

Hi Wil

I think it's been great reading about the responses from world leaders at the news of the Royal Engagement.

It's the same, yet different. Plus ca change plus c'est la meme chose as they say in France.

There was a predictable uniformity abaut the observations of all those leaders. Diplomacy at work.

But as my Dad used to say, "Trust the Old Man."

When asked his feelings abput his son's engagement, Prince Charles (Prince William's dad) observed,

"I'm glad they're getting married at last. They've been practising long enough."

I'm no Royalist but neither am I a Republican. I just want everyone to be happy and get along.

Anyone care to argue with that?
