The Lobster Pot, Church Bay

by Pete Thomas
(Littlebury (near Cambridge))

I was born on the island and lived in Rhydwyn near Church Bay; going with my parents to the Lobster Pot was a real treat as a child. Its still a treat to dine there and my grown-up children love it!

The seafood is delicious but my weakness is the rack of lamb sourced from Lamia butchers in Bodedern.

As a teenager I would spend the summer school holidays in Church Bay often congregating with friends around at Wally's garage (originally part of the Lobster Pot complex) - a much-loved local character who sadly died very recently.
