Can you advise on the best beaches for swimming? - We are staying in Rosneiger in July. I do open water swimming (normally in a lake) but would love to do some in the sea. Do you know which are the safest areas? or if there are any organised groups.
i agree, Rhosneiger isnt the best place to swim. cemaes bay is good and so is Porth Dafarch. Obviously, watch the tides as they can be very strong on Anglesey.

Caution with Rhosneigr. by: Andrew W
Rhosneigr in my childhood and youth saw many a school mate drown at Rhosbneigr and I absolutely do not reccomend swimming there it is dangerous. Best place to swim is at Treaddur bay as it is well set in and with those two rock structures when the tide is in right, great fun to dive off and inspect the crabs on the sandt bed..Joy of Joys. "" Treaddur Bay.is OK; other venues can sweep you away."" Stick only to Treaddur bay on Anglesey. .
