SANDY BEACH, ANGLESEY

Sandy Beach - Anglesey

Sandy Beach - Anglesey

Is one allowed to park in the handy little field near the beach?

Google map shows cars parked on the allocated road area and the open gate - lovely field - but no-one appears to have taken advantage of the fabulous picnic area!

Hi Eileen

It's a brilliant day here on Anglesey. Shorts and suntan lotion time.

People regularly park in the field, which I believe is there for that express purpose. It's near beaches further up the coast you've got to watch it because we have a Traffic Warden Flying Squad here on the Island.

Watch out at Church Bay in particular. Yellow lines everywhere.

I can't imagine that there's any spot at Sandy Beach that's not taken the fullest advantage of.

Sandy Beach is one of a number of delightful little gems up this coastline of Anglesey, so if you can't find what you need on one beach then there's another just up the Anglesey Coastal Path.

Nice to hear from you.

Wil

MAGICAL CHILDHOOD PLACE
by: Jo

It's nice to know that Sandy Beach still captivates many hearts. I spent my annual holidays there as a child ( about 50 years ago ) My parents were busy farming, so it was a real treat to escape to this special place! In the end our friends were hooked too!!! I think that there were four families who stayed there on a regular basis. I must confess I have fantastic childhood memories of holidays at Sandy Beach.
After moving afar, I returned two years ago & found it still as magical as ever! Well done for maintaining the beauty & popularity!

Heaven on earth
by: Heather

Spent my first visit to Anglesey and Sandy Beach staying as a guest at my friends Static Caravan overlooking the beach. Words can hardly express the effect it had on me. I am totally sold. Want to move to Anglesey and spend the rest of my days paddling along Sandy Beach,I am due back there in a couple of weeks and cannot wait. More than a little Gem!

Me Too!
by: Wil

That makes two of us.

I came to that conclusion about a month into writing this website.

I like the thought of people improving the quality of their lives by finding peace and quiet from the drowning mundanity of daily work.

So on behalf of Anglesey I say, "Bring me your poor befuddled masses." Oh yes, and spend as much money as you can while you're here.

I listened to a radio programme (Quote Unquote - Heaven help me ) last night and heard the advice given to one of the contestants by his grandmother,

"Just because it's rattling about between your ears, it doesn't mean it should come out your mouth."

Too late for us both.

SANDY BEACH PARKING

OOOPPPS! - Now I've let the cat out of the bag. But never mind. Everyone should benefit from this little piece of heaven, not just the old timers who have been coming for over a quarter of a century!
