Penmon - View of the Carneddau Mountains

Hi Wil

Just need to share some excellent news about a discovery of mine at Penmon.

This little cafe is blessed to sit on the very tip of the eastern peninsula of this magical island of Anglesey, with stunning sea views overlooking Puffin Island, Great Orme and Mount Snowdon.

Throughout the day the cafe offers a selection of hot and cold drinks, ice creams, speciality coffees and a variety of mouth watering cakes and delicious cream teas.

I stumbled across the cafe on a walking trip and had a nice coffee and the best homemade cherry and chocolate flapjack I have ever tasted.

It is really worth a visit. A good brisk walk and then a satisfying panad (cuppa) and a teisen (cake).

Best wishes

Chris

Beaumaris - Best Location Ever!.
by: Andrew Weare

Hi Wil,

I had my Honeymoon at Beaumaris and this part of Anglesey is scenically stunning.

Little wonder the Normans called it "Beau Marais" - Beautiful Marsh'. well, things were a bit swampy when they got there.

Dried up ever since! Even Charles Dickens had to come to Beaumaris. The taxi drivers are utterly courteous and the Fish & Chips - done in that Ynys Mon way - are gourmet above all gourmets. Standards? Welsh fish & chips are unbeatable.

And on Anglesey the standard for such is six stars. I love the Beaumaris 'chippy'.

Give em Ten Stars!! I'll be back for more!

Best regards to Beaumaris
