Bishops's Gate House, Beaumaris

by Al Ginnelly
(Santiago, Chile)

The food here is the best I've had on Anglesey.

I moved away from the Island in the 1980's but when I return to visit family - normally for a couple of nights every 3 months or so - I stay here and always look forward to eating here.

I've gone through most of their dishes and can't really pick out a firm favorite, but at least once per visit I have their Welsh Black Steak, the best I've had - and that includes my visits to Argentina where they supposedly have "The Best" Beef.

All in all great service, lovely hotel and fantastic food. Not exactly cheap but you do really get what you pay for.

Hi Al,

HI AL,

How is Annie Mary Ginelli?

She was in my classes throughout the Junior years. I also have in my posessesion the olde school photo of 1959, May, so we were 10 in that pic.

Be nice to know she is okay, and I mean it.
