When living for 4 months on Anglesey, I decided one morning to veer off the main road from Beaumaris to Pentraeth and go the Landdona - or the town where Three Witches Washed Up On The Beach so the tale goes.
As I wound down the roads I came to Llanddona and saw a sign for traeth or beach.
Off I went, passing the sign that said 37% grade I think. I knew that Llanddonahad a beach and decided to venture to the shore.
The first trip down the winding narrow road was a bit scary, but glimpses of the beautiful sparkling sea beckoned. I wasn't sure if I would be able to turn around once I reached the sea or what would be waiting for me.
I also knew if I met oncoming traffic there would be a problem.
Oh! My Delight when I found that Llandona was at the eastern edge of Red Wharf Bay!
